Restaurants on the southern Oregon Coast offer everything from local, seasonal fish and seafood to hearty homestyle breakfasts. The southern coast has plenty of options whether you are in the mood for a casual basket of fish n’ chips or fine seafood with a front-row view of the Pacific Ocean.

Restaurants in Reedsport

Some restaurants in Reedsport have views of the Umpqua River and there are also a few restaurants in Winchester Bay. Fresh fish and seafood are staple menu items, as well as burgers and homestyle American standards.

Harbor Light Restaurant serves fresh seafood, clam chowder, fish n’ chips, house-smoked meats and homemade desserts.

For waterfront views, try the Big Fish Café or The Schooner Inn Café on the Umpqua river. Also, Crabby’s Bar and Grill is in Salmon Harbor on Winchester Bay and there are a few other restaurant options in the harbor area.

Jackson’s Coffeehouse Café serves hearty breakfasts including omelets, burritos, benedicts and combo plates.

Don’t forget to stock up on donuts and other sweets from Sugar Shack Bakery, home of the Big Foot Maple Bar (it’s big).

Two Shy Brewing features a large variety of their own locally brewed beers and takeout pizza from a local shop (does not serve food).

The Wild Rivers Coast Food Trail connects visitors to the local cuisine of the Southern Oregon Coast. There are 39 stops to explore at your own pace, including bakeries, restaurants, farms, markets, breweries, distilleries and seafood stands.

Restaurants in Coos Bay

A variety of restaurants can be found along Broadway near the boardwalk in Coos Bay and also in North Bend.

7 Devils Waterfront Alehouse is the spot for microbrews and local-focused pub fare with outdoor seating by the waterfront and live music.

Front Street Provisioners serves wood-fired pizza in an artsy open space next to the bay. There’s also a selection of food trucks next door.

The Blue Heron Bistro offers hearty German fare and fresh seafood in a Bavarian-styled space adorned with trinkets and artwork from the old country. Their desserts, dark German sourdough rye and German bratwurst are all made in-house.

The Pancake Mill Restaurant and Pie Shoppe is a local favorite breakfast spot with a giant menu and portions. 

For fine dining in Coos Bay, Hilltop House Restaurant and Lounge offers old-school steak-and-seafood from high atop a hill overlooking the bay and dunes.

Restaurants in Bandon

Most of the restaurants in Bandon are clustered in Old Town near the marina or along Highway 101.

Tony’s Crab Shack serves fresh fish and seafood on the boardwalk and their attached shop sells tackle, rods, bait and fishing licenses. You can also rent crabbing, fishing and clamming gear here and they’ll even cook your catch for you.

Bandon Fish Market is another seafood spot for fresh fish ’n’ chips and clam chowder.

Cranberry Sweets & More, a local candy shop and favorite stop for visitors with a sweet tooth, sells a variety of candies, chocolates, truffles, many flavors of popcorn, fudge and other sweets.

Bandon Brewing serves locally brewed beers, pizza, burgers and pub fare with indoor and outdoor (dog-friendly) seating.

For such a small town, there are quite a few good restaurants in Port Orford.

One of the best options for fine dining on the Oregon Coast, Redfish offers local seafood in a contemporary space with an ocean view.

Head to Crazy Norwegian’s for fish & chips and pie after visiting Battle Rock Park.

Tasty Kate’s serves espresso and pastries in a colorful, coastal hippie cottage. 

Stop at Golden Harvest Herban Farm and Bakery for soups, salads and sandwiches plus a bakery and ice cream.

Mr. Ed’s Espresso, Juice, and Underground Pub features local live music, pizza, coffee, smoothies and even breakfast.

Portside Café is a casual, local spot serving hearty hometown breakfasts and lunches.

For craft beer connoisseurs, Arch Rock Brewing Company is an award-winning local brewery with a very small industrial spot where you can sample and order locally-made beer to go (not a sit-down restaurant).

You’ll find an eclectic mix of restaurants in Brookings, either just off Highway 101 or clustered near the harbor.

Chetco Brewing Company brews locally crafted beers and there is also a vegan food truck on site.
