Try These Breweries on the Oregon Coast (with Beer Map)

Oregon has its share of great beer makers and the coast is home to nearly 30 breweries from Astoria in the north to Brookings in the south.

Here’s a list of local breweries on the Oregon Coast with links to each location and a beer map at the end to get directions and business hours. 

Northern Oregon Coast Breweries

Astoria, Oregon Breweries

There are more craft breweries in Astoria than any other town on the Oregon Coast and many of them have views of the water.

Rogue Pier 39 Public House is located in the former Bumble Bee Tuna Cannery facility on Pier 39 in Astoria, over the Columbia River. The pub menu features burgers, sandwiches, fish n’ chips and bar snacks. They also have 2 locations in Newport.

Fort George Brewery + Public House in Astoria is a top pick for local craft beer. In colder months, sit upstairs and enjoy the view with wood-fired pizza and live music. In summer, they also have an outdoor patio and beer pier.

Obelisk Beer Co. is a newer taproom opened by former Fort-Georgers in the old Blitz-Weinhard building on Bond Street in Astoria. There is no restaurant but a small selection of sandwiches is provided by Gaetano’s Deli.

Breakside Brewery has opened up a new location on 14th & Exchange St. in Astoria with a raw seafood menu, champagne and spirits in addition to their stellar beers.

Astoria Brewing Company is on the trolley line and serves pub fare with a riverfront view.

Buoy Beer Company unfortunately suffered a partial building collapse in June 2022, so the taproom is currently operating out of the Astoria Food Hub on Marine Dr. with a menu featuring seafood, sandwiches and burgers.

Seaside, Oregon Breweries

Seaside Brewing Company serves locally brewed craft beers and tasty BBQ pub fare in the old city jailhouse building on the corner of Broadway and Highway 101. Outdoor patio seating is available.

Sisu Beer is located inside the Times Theatre on Broadway in Seaside and serves local beer, burgers and sandwiches in an old movie house.

Cannon Beach, Oregon Breweries

Public Coast Brewing Co. in Cannon Beach crafts their own beers made with ingredients from their own farm. They also serve fish n’ chips and pub food with outdoor patio seating.

Pelican Brewing has 4 locations on the Oregon Coast including Tillamook, Lincoln City, Pacific City and Cannon Beach. Located at the south end of Cannon Beach, this location offers burgers, sandwiches, seafood, flatbreads and desserts in a large, open space with indoor and outdoor seating.

Bill’s Tavern and Brewhouse has been a locally owned fixture in Cannon Beach for more than 30 years and serves pub grub and handcrafted beers.

Tillamook, Oregon Breweries

de Garde Brewing in Tillamook makes finely crafted sours and Northwest wild-yeast beers (does not serve food).

Werner Beef & Brew is a meat market, taproom and deli in Tillamook serving burgers, sandwiches, dinner entrees and desserts with indoor and outdoor seating.

Pelican Brewing Tillamook has indoor seating with a view of the production facility and weather-dependent outdoor patio seating with a counter-service pub menu.

Pacific City, Oregon Breweries

Pelican Brewing was born in Pacific City in an ideal spot on the main beach with a front-row view of Haystack Rock and the dory boats. Indoor seating is available with a full pub menu and outdoor patio seating is open when the weather permits.

Lincoln City, Oregon Breweries

Rusty Truck Brewing Co. serves handcrafted beers, burgers and sandwiches in a roadhouse atmosphere on Highway 101 in Lincoln City.

Pelican Brewing Siletz Bay is their newest location in Lincoln City featuring a beautiful outdoor deck with a view of the bay. There is also indoor seating with large windows and a full pub menu available.

Beachcrest Brewing Company is located in the Salishan Marketplace near Lincoln City and offers small-batch beers and wood-fired pizzas overlooking the golf course.

Depoe Bay, Oregon Breweries

The Horn Public House and Depoe Bay Brewing Company overlooks the world’s smallest harbor and serves house-made beers, fish n’ chips, chowder, burgers and pizza.

Newport Brewing Company serves locally made beer and craft cocktails along with burgers and pub fare.

Bier One Brewing is a local spot in Newport serving house-made beers with a small bar menu.

Rogue Bayfront Public House is the original Newport location where Rogue began brewing before they expanded to their world headquarters building just across the bay. Located in the historic bayfront district, they offer a full pub and beer menu.

Rogue Ales & Spirits is located inside the Rogue headquarters building, a two-story brewpub with a hearty menu overlooking Yaquina Bay in Newport.

Two Shy Brewing in downtown Reedsport features a large variety of their own locally brewed beers and takeout pizza from a local shop (does not serve food).

Chetco Brewing is a small-town brewery and taproom in Brookings featuring a large selection of handcrafted beers and other beverages. There is a vegan food truck on site but no restaurant.  

Misty Mountain Brewing is located below the Black Trumpet Bistro in downtown Brookings and serves a small selection of handcrafted beers in a Tolkien-inspired taproom.

Southwest Washington

Cathlamet, Washington

Ok, it’s not the Oregon Coast, but we have to mention River Mile 38 Brewing Co. in Cathlamet, Washington, just across the Columbia River. If you’re headed to Astoria, Oregon, take the scenic route 4 on the Washington side and stop at River Mile 38’s new riverfront location at the marina.

Avoid driving altogether and take a guided Oregon Coast brewery tour from Portland to visit several northern Oregon Coast breweries in one day. Get picked up from your hotel in Portland, sit back, relax and let your guide do the driving.
