If it’s too cold and wet for camping, rent a heated cabin or yurt at one of our state parks on the Oregon Coast! Many Oregon State Park campgrounds have cabins and yurts for rent year-round.
Best Time to Visit Oregon State Parks
The least crowded time for Oregon Coast travel is during the rainy months from October through May. June through August is the most popular time to visit and parks will generally be full. September is still very popular but crowds may decrease a little after school starts.
What’s Included in a Cabin or Yurt Rental
Oregon State Park cabins are solid-walled structures and yurts have canvas walls (except at Wallowa Lake, where yurts have wood walls).
Rustic cabins and yurts include:
- Beds with vinyl mattresses – you bring your own bedding
- Locking doors
- Electricity
- Heat
There are no restrooms or kitchens inside. Restrooms and showers are usually a short walk away and cooking is only allowed outside. Firepits and picnic tables are provided.
DELUXE cabins and yurts feature all of the above plus:
- Private bathroom with shower
- Kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave
- Propane/electric grills
- Some deluxe cabins and yurts have a TV with DVD player
Pets are allowed in pet-friendly yurts and cabins for an additional fee and some ADA yurts and cabins are available. Check with the individual campground for specific details.
