Recent heavy rains and high tides have caused flooding on Highway 101 and other roads in the Oregon Coast region. There may be travel delays due to road closures and high water on roadways. People are advised not to try and cross flooded areas, whether by vehicle, bike or on foot.

  • Highway 101 north of Tillamook and south of Seaside has reopened following closures on Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Miami Foley Road between Wheeler and Garibaldi is still closed due to a culvert washout near milepost 8 over Crystal Creek. Construction is expected to take 10-14 days.

  • Sandlake Road is closed north of Pacific City due to a partial collapse near the intersection of McPhillips Drive. Drivers will be rerouted to Highway 101.

Weather forecasters expect water to recede over the next few days though rain will likely continue.
